The Quest for Perfection

Lizza Studios is one of only a handful of companies in the U.S. to own a Cruse CS285 ST Fine Art Scanner, the highest resolution scanner in the world. This marvel of digital reproduction has taken color management to an unprecedented level. Guided by his experienced artistic eye and mind, and decades of experience in digital design and reproduction, Bob Lizza manipulates light dispersion variables to expand the scanner’s capabilities. Every scan adheres to a rigorous quality control process to ensure precision — detecting even minor fluctuations before they impact the quality of the reproduction.

CRUSE SCANNER

The Cruse scanner uses an advanced Synchron™ Table system to reduce overall light exposure and provide even illumination across the entire surface of the original, eliminating the need to correct lighting issues during the color correction process. Using a complex software algorithm to focus, the Cruse eliminates human error and maximizes sharpness on all scans. When the work of art is scanned it produces a file up to 2 gigabytes in size — more than 20 times larger than the data capture of a standard digital camera. Lizza Studios accepts works of art up to 60″ x 90″ in one scan. Larger pieces can be accommodated in multiple scans, then digitally and seamlessly re-stitched. Once we receive the artwork and schedule it for production, the turnaround time is usually 7 to 10 business days. SEE THE DETAIL
